Admission and Exception
Except as otherwise specified within Admissions Policy 05.01.01, the College maintains an open-door admission policy to all applicants who are legal residents of the United States and who are high school graduates or are at least eighteen (18) years of age. The College also admits undocumented immigrants who meet certain conditions. Admission to certain programs may have additional specific entrance requirements. For additional information, reference:

While the College maintains an open-door admission policy, there are certain instances when the College must carry out alternative decisions. For information regarding the basis for denying admission, reference Admissions Policy 05.01.01.
High School and Minor Student Enrollment Procedure
The College provides seamless opportunities for high school students to get a head start with their college education by enrolling in eligible pathways through Career and College Promise (CCP). Enrollment in identified courses is available to students enrolled in public and private schools (including home schools) through articulation agreements between the school system and the College and approved by the North Carolina Community College System Office.
